Why We Should Drink More Coffee

While I was home in IL I got a free 3 day (trial) pass to my family’s gym so I could get in a bit of exercise while I was home.  It was nice to spend some time at the gym, now that my energy is returning and my body is feeling up to more regular workouts.  (Speaking of more regular workouts - I lifted for the first time since November today and left with my arms shaking.  It felt amazing!)
Anyway, I generally spent a good chunk of my cardio reading Harry Potter 6 but after forgetting my book one afternoon, I just picked up a magazine from the gym’s shelf and happened to see this:
I forget which magazine I was reading, but one of those "women's ones"
While this may say “older women,” I’m choosing this to mean it’s affective for younger women as well.  And if you’re a gentleman out there, if I were you, I’d take it to include you too.  Because you know, we just can’t get enough coffee! ;)

Are you addicted to coffee too?

Sometimes that's all you need

A hot cup of coffee on a cool morning with warmed frothy soy milk.  Sometimes that’s all you need.  And a yummy pumpkin scented candle.

**After reading my good friend’s blog the other evening, she decided that for the month of November, she’s posting something she’s grateful for; something as simple as a picture or quote or possibly something lengthy.  In the month that we come together and share what we’re grateful and thankful for, there seems to be no better way.  And it’s with that that I have decided to join her.  Will you join us? #gratefulseason

Early to bed, Early to rise

“Early to bed and early to rise makes a (wo)man healthy, wealthy and wise” – Ben Franklin
And it is with that, that I head off to bed as this lady has quite the early day tomorrow.  Work event that starts at 7am is calling me to begin preparations at 5:30 so to not feel overwhelmed and stressed out.  You better believe my lunch is made, my bags are packed and my coffee is ready and set to “delay brew” (at 3:45am!) so I can walk downstairs and just pour myself a cup.
The coffee will flow tomorrow and I’m ready.  And a bit excited.

Foodie for a Day

There's nothing this "foodie" loves more than a good cup of coffee!
And in the past week I have had my fair share of delicious Intelligentsia coffee!
If you haven't had the pleasure of Intelligentsia, I highly recommend finding one near you (and I sure hope there is one by you!) and go get yourself a cup.  I can personally recommend a soy latte with some beautiful latte art.  Delicious and pretty!
My only complaint is that I'd like to see the latte art vary, instead of getting the same "art" every time.  But regardless, it's pretty and the staff is generally super friendly.  And if you meet a friend, you get the added benefit of good company! Enjoy!

A Photo of Something That Makes You Happy - Day 21

I’ve been super sleepy lately.  Not just always tired sleepy, but more like falling asleep at 8:00 on my couch or the moment I sit down - hence, my delay in yesterday’s post.
And instead of just one thing that makes me happy, I would like to include several because it is all of them together that truly make me happy.

Flowers

Coffee

Wine & Candles

Yoga / Exercise

Music

Fun notes from friends
